Along the eastern railway corridor of Java, Mrawan Station stands as one of the most historic points, bringing together history, economy, and natural beauty. Located on the slopes of Mount Gumitir, it is the highest station in Daop 9 Jember, established on September 10, 1902, at an elevation of 524 meters above sea level.

From the beginning, Mrawan Station played an important role in transporting plantation commodities such as coffee, sugar, and rice from Jember and Banyuwangi to various regions. Today, its function has evolved into a key transport hub that supports tourism and the local economy.

The railway line around Mrawan offers breathtaking scenery—vast plantations of coffee, cocoa, and rubber owned by PTPN XII, along with the cool mountain air typical of the Gumitir highlands. Not far from the station lies the Mrawan Tunnel, stretching 690 meters, which has stood strong since 1902 and is still actively used today.

"Mrawan Station shows how railways play a role in driving economic activity and community mobility while also preserving the nation's historical heritage," said Anne Purba, Vice President of Public Relations at KAI.

With its natural beauty, historical significance, and strong economic potential, Mrawan Station stands as a symbol of harmony between modern transportation and local heritage in East Java.
