It will be even easier if you book tickets through the KAI Access application because the various features in it make you only need to use this application to book tickets, make payments, order food, and order transportation to and from the station. In addition, tickets can also be booked through the website kai.id or other official KAI ticket sales channels. When booking a ticket, you will be asked to choose the origin station and destination station, departure date, and the number of passengers. Then prepare your national identity card number and choose the seat you want to sit in while on the train. Finally, make the payment according to the price of the ticket you ordered.
Arrive early at the station
The current train schedule is on time. So don't ever come late if you don't want to be left behind. Therefore, try to arrive earlier before the train travel schedule. It is better for you to wait at the station, rather than missing the train.
Check-in and print boarding pass
The next step is to check-in. This stage must be done before departure. If you buy tickets through KAI Access, you don't need to print a boarding pass at the station. You can check-in through the application starting 2 hours before the train's departure schedule.
However, for ticket purchases outside the KAI Access application, you must go to the independent check-in machine provided in zone 3 of the departure station. To avoid being left behind, make sure you have checked in and printed your boarding pass at least one hour before departure. KAI allows you to check-in at least 7x24 hours before the departure date.
Prepare boarding pass and identity card
To enter zone 2 of the station you must show your boarding pass and identity card to the boarding officer. The officer will scan your boarding pass and match it with your identity card. The officer will also inform you of the arrival time and the position of your train track later. For those of you aged 18 and over, a booster vaccine is mandatory. Meanwhile, ages 6-17 must have received the second vaccination. Once all requirements are complete, you just need to enter and wait for the departure time in zone 2.
Wait for the arrival of the train
After entering the zone 2 area, next you only need to wait for the arrival of the train. Do not hesitate to ask the officers if you are confused about finding the train platform. While waiting, you can use your time to just snack, read the news, open social media, or do other positive activities. In the zone 2 waiting room there are also several facilities for customers such as seats, charging stations, toilets, prayer rooms, etc.
Board the train and find a seat
The officer will make an announcement through the loudspeaker when the train is about to arrive. You just have to enter zone 1 and the officer will guide you to your train. Don't forget to carefully read the train name and seat number on the boarding pass. Make sure to enter the train and sit according to the number that has been booked. Store luggage in the provided storage space. After that, you just need to sit back and relax while waiting for the train to depart.
