KAI Supports the 2023 SOE Free Homecoming Program

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) supports the 2023 SOE Free Homecoming Program organized by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in collaboration with PT Jasa Raharja. A total of 14,000 seats provided under the program were fully utilized by the public.

"KAI supports the 2023 SOE Free Homecoming Program by train initiated by the Ministry of SOEs. This program is a collaboration among state-owned enterprises to serve people wishing to return to their hometowns through train travel that is safe, healthy, secure, and comfortable," said KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo during the ceremonial departure of the 2023 SOE Free Homecoming Program at Pasar Senen Station on Saturday (15 April).

For the 2023 SOE Free Homecoming Program, KAI operated 24 train services with departure schedules on 15–16 April 2023. The services departed from Pasar Senen Station to various cities including Surabaya, Malang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Jombang, and Blitar. Trains provided for the program included Gaya Baru Malam Selatan (Pasar Senen – Surabaya Gubeng), Jayabaya (Pasar Senen – Malang), Fajar Utama Solo (Pasar Senen – Solo Balapan), Bangunkarta (Pasar Senen – Jombang), and others.

In addition to providing seats for the Jasa Raharja Free Homecoming Program, KAI also organized its own free homecoming initiative with 800 seats under the 2023 SOE Free Homecoming Program using Kertajaya (Pasar Senen – Surabaya Pasarturi) and Jayakarta (Pasar Senen – Surabaya Gubeng) trains for departures on 15–16 April 2023. All available tickets were fully booked by the public.

Registration for the 2023 SOE Free Homecoming Program opened on 15 March 2023 through the official registration website. To ensure a healthy and comfortable train journey, all participants were required to comply with the same travel requirements as regular passengers, in accordance with the Ministry of Transportation Circular Letter No. 84 and the Ministry of Health Circular Letter No. HK.02.02/II/3984/2022, effective from 19 December 2022.
