Additional Train Services for Eid Transportation Are Added Again

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has once again added train services for the 1443 H / 2022 Eid Transportation period. There are an additional 92 train trips, or an average of 6 train trips per day, which will operate during the period of 24 April to 10 May 2022 with a total seating capacity of 58,940 seats, or an average of 3,467 seats per day.

The following is the list of additional train services:

1. Additional Gambir - Solo Balapan Train (Gambir - Solo Balapan) operating from 25 April to 9 May 2022
2. Additional Solo Balapan - Gambir Train (Solo Balapan - Gambir) operating from 25 April to 9 May 2022
3. Tawang Jaya Train (Semarang Poncol - Pasar Senen round trip) operating from 25 April to 9 May 2022
4. Jaka Tingkir Train (Purwosari - Pasar Senen) operating from 24 April to 9 May 2022
5. Jaka Tingkir Train (Pasar Senen - Purwosari) operating from 25 April to 10 May 2022

"The additional train services are provided for people who have not yet obtained tickets for homecoming or return trips on popular routes during this year's Eid transportation period," said KAI VP Public Relations Joni Martinus.

The public can purchase tickets for these additional train services starting from 21 April through KAI Access, the kai.id website, and all other official online sales channels.

With the addition of these train services, there are now a total of 4,454 long-distance train trips with a seating capacity reaching 2,484,806 seats during the 2022 Eid Transportation period.

KAI has determined the Eid Transportation period to be from H-10 to H+10 of Eid, or from 22 April to 13 May 2022. As of 21 April, KAI had sold 1,199,368 long-distance train tickets, or 48% of the total tickets provided. The public's favorite routes during this year's Eid transportation period are Jakarta - Surabaya round trip, Jakarta - Yogyakarta round trip, Jakarta - Malang round trip, and others. Meanwhile, the favorite departure dates for the homecoming flow are 30 April and 29 April, while for the return flow they are 7 May and 8 May.

KAI also reminds the public to comply with health protocols in accordance with government regulations based on Ministry of Transportation Circular Letter No. 49 of 2022.

"KAI encourages the public to immediately receive booster vaccinations so that train travel remains healthy and comfortable during the 2022 Eid transportation period," concluded Joni.
