Access by KAI Makes Travel Easier, Records 17 Million Transactions in the First Half of 2026
Planning a train journey is now easier than ever. From booking tickets and selecting seats to ordering meals and tracking train locations in real time, travelers can manage their entire trip through a single application. This seamless digital experience is making rail travel more convenient and connected than ever before.
Through Access by KAI, six rail services are now integrated into one platform, including Long-Distance Trains, Local Trains, Commuter Line, LRT Jabodebek, Airport Rail Link, and High-Speed Railway. The application is designed to deliver a smoother, more convenient, and customer-friendly travel experience.
Access by KAI has also become the central hub for managing customer journeys across the KAI Group ecosystem. Beyond ticket booking, the application helps users plan their trips, organize travel needs, and access comprehensive travel information before and during their journeys.
From January to June 2026, Access by KAI recorded 17,009,374 ticket transactions for Long-Distance and Local Train services, representing 76.34% of the total 22,281,645 transactions across all sales channels.
In terms of ticket volume, the application facilitated the purchase of 24,544,468 tickets, accounting for 73.68% of the total 33,313,364 Long-Distance and Local Train tickets sold during the first half of 2026. These figures reflect the growing preference among customers to manage their journeys through a single digital platform.
Customer adoption continues to grow steadily. As of June 30, 2026, Access by KAI had reached 30,449,049 registered users, adding 3,154,132 new users during the first six months of the year. Monthly active users reached 9,058,935, while total downloads surpassed 41,011,320.
More travelers are also choosing an enhanced experience through Premium Membership. By the end of June 2026, 4,893,743 users—around 16.07% of all registered users—had subscribed to the premium service.
The application offers a wide range of features to make every journey more enjoyable.
Travelers can organize itineraries using Trip Planner, reserve hotels before arriving at their destination, order meals through Railfood, choose seats via the Female Seat Map feature, and monitor train movements in real time through Live Tracking.
Bringing six railway services together in one application also creates a more seamless travel experience. Customers can easily continue their journeys from intercity trains to Commuter Line, LRT Jabodebek, Airport Rail Link, Local Trains, or High-Speed Railway with better trip planning and integrated travel information.
This connected ecosystem also enables continuous service improvements. Integrated travel data helps refine customer information, enhance service quality, and deliver a more consistent experience across different railway services.
Access by KAI continues to evolve by incorporating customer feedback through the Voice of Customer program alongside user behavior insights. These evaluations drive continuous improvements in navigation, feature development, information clarity, and overall digital convenience.
More than just a ticket-booking application, Access by KAI continues to grow as a comprehensive digital travel companion—bringing every stage of the journey together in one seamless, practical, and connected ecosystem.
