Therefore, in completing this National Strategic Project, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) (KAI) together with KCIC and all stakeholders will make every effort to ensure the successful development of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway.

Currently, the overall progress of KCJB construction has reached 88.8 percent, with operations expected to begin in June 2023.

Throughout the implementation process of this assignment, KAI will always prioritize Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles. The goal is to ensure accountability in the development of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway project and ensure that it can be properly accounted for.

KAI will also maintain transparency regarding all aspects of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway development in accordance with applicable regulations.

Coordination with the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway Committee continues to be carried out to ensure operations can begin on schedule. KAI expresses its gratitude to the government for the trust and support provided.

"KAI is committed to carrying out and completing this assignment as well as possible while continuing to prioritize safety," emphasized KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo.

Regarding infrastructure readiness, three trainsets have arrived at the Tegalluar Depot, consisting of two Electric Multiple Units and one Comprehensive Inspection Train. A total of 12 trainsets are targeted to arrive in Indonesia by March 2023.

For infrastructure readiness, railway track installation from Bandung towards Jakarta is currently underway. The completion of box girder installation and subgrade construction is also ongoing. The Overhead Catenary System (OCS) or overhead electrical equipment installation has also begun.

KAI is also completing the Jabodebek LRT, which will later connect with the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in the Halim Perdanakusuma area. The Jabodebek LRT will also be integrated with various other transportation modes such as Commuter Line and buses.

In addition, KAI is preparing the Feeder Train service along with its waiting facilities, which will stop at Padalarang, Cimahi, and Bandung Stations. This service is provided to make it easier for High-Speed Railway passengers who want to continue their journey to Cimahi or central Bandung.

"The development of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is carried out to present modern transportation in Indonesia. Hopefully, in the future, more people will use railway transportation that is faster, more efficient, comfortable, and environmentally friendly," concluded Didiek.

During his visit to the KCJB project on Thursday (13/10), Indonesian President Joko Widodo expressed his hope that the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway would improve the mobility of goods and people, creating a multiplier effect across other sectors.

"Competitiveness will also become stronger. Then there will be new economic growth points, in Jakarta, in Bandung City, and also in Bandung Regency," he said.

Not only domestically, President Joko Widodo also believes that the presence of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway will further open connectivity between Indonesia and other countries in the ASEAN region.
