PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has provided educational programs for its employees as part of its efforts to prevent the spread of narratives promoting intolerance, anti-Pancasila ideology, and anti-Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) sentiments. This initiative was carried out through the National Insight and Anti-Radicalism Dialogue, which was held as a roadshow across eight stations using the Inspection Train from Wednesday (8/12) to Friday (10/12).

The eight stations were Gambir, Cirebon, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Madiun, Ketapang, Surabaya Gubeng, and Semarang Tawang.

The National Insight and Anti-Radicalism Dialogue was organized by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) in collaboration with the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT). The event was attended by KAI's Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, BNPT Head Boy Rafli Amar, and other distinguished guests.

In his opening remarks, KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo expressed his appreciation to BNPT for organizing the National Insight and Anti-Radicalism Dialogue. He encouraged all KAI employees to make the most of this opportunity to build a proper understanding so they can remain focused on their work as a form of devotion.

"The pandemic has had a profound impact on KAI. Nevertheless, under any circumstances, we must continue to strengthen our national spirit and consistently uphold our commitment to rejecting radicalism," said KAI President Director Didiek on Wednesday (8/12).

The National Insight and Anti-Radicalism Dialogue is a follow-up to the Cooperation Agreement between KAI and BNPT on Synergizing the Prevention of Radical Terrorism Ideology, which was signed at Bandung Station on 24 September 2021. This activity also represents the implementation of KAI's core values, AKHLAK, particularly the value of Collaboration, by building strong partnerships with stakeholders.

The event also included the inauguration of Warung NKRI (Wadah Akur Rukun Usaha Nurani Gelorakan NKRI) at Solo Balapan, Malang, and Surabaya Gubeng stations. Through this initiative, KAI and BNPT collaborated in utilizing company assets to provide business opportunities at railway stations for BNPT-assisted partners, including former terrorism convicts who have undergone deradicalization programs and survivors of terrorism.

Warung NKRI was established to promote anti-terrorism ideology by bringing together former terrorism convicts and survivors in a shared business environment. The initiative is designed to help assisted partners achieve economic independence and improve their welfare.

"Through this program, KAI employees are expected to develop stronger awareness and resilience so they can protect themselves and those around them from terrorist propaganda," said Didiek.

In line with this, BNPT Head Boy Rafli Amar stated that intolerance, radicalism, and terrorism can influence anyone, including individuals within government institutions and state-owned enterprises. Therefore, early vigilance is essential to prevent radical and intolerant ideologies from gaining acceptance in society.

Warung NKRI is also part of KAI's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, which supports micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing business opportunities at railway stations. The initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. The assisted partners operate culinary businesses and handicraft enterprises.

"To confront radicalism, intolerance, and terrorism, we need resilience and determination in preserving Indonesia's national identity. Radicalism is not part of Indonesia's true identity. Our national identity is founded upon the philosophy and ideology of Pancasila," said Boy Rafli Amar. (Public Relations KAI)
