Start Booking December Train Tickets, Sales Open at 12:01 a.m. WIB
Passengers planning to travel by train in December 2026 can now start securing their tickets. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) opened ticket bookings for departures starting December 1, 2026, on Sunday (November 1) at 12:01 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) through the Access by KAI application.
The booking opening is part of preparations for the implementation of the 2026 Train Travel Schedule (GAPEKA), which includes adjustments to schedules, travel patterns, and station stops.
KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba said that GAPEKA 2026 is designed to accommodate growing public interest in train travel. Adjustments to travel patterns also include additional station stops on several services, giving passengers more options to board and alight at stations closer to their homes or destinations.
The additional station stops are expected to support mobility between cities and within agglomeration areas. In addition to making travel more convenient, these changes also have the potential to encourage trade, tourism, and economic activity around stations.
KAI encourages passengers to recheck departure and arrival schedules, travel dates, and origin and destination stations through Access by KAI. Passengers should ensure that all ticket details match their travel plans before departure.
