PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), together with railway enthusiast communities (railfans) from the Indonesian Railway Preservation Society (IRPS) across Java and the Komunitas Railfans Daop Empat (KRDE), commemorated the first anniversary of the operation of the Vintage Livery Locomotive at the Semarang Poncol Locomotive Depot on Saturday (5/2).

Acting Executive Vice President of KAI Operational Area 4 Semarang, Wisnu Pramudyo, who attended the event, expressed his appreciation for the gathering. He highlighted that Indonesia's first railway line, connecting Kemijen and Tanggung, is located within Operational Area 4, making the event an important opportunity to promote railway history and education.

"This reminds us of our past and serves as one way to preserve the history of Indonesia's railway development. We hope it will inspire all of us to continue advancing the country's railway industry," he said.

Wisnu also encouraged members of the railway enthusiast communities to help maintain safety while photographing trains along railway lines.

He further asked the communities to help educate the public about the importance of railway safety, particularly within the Operational Area 4 Semarang network.

The event concluded with the presentation of appreciation certificates and commemorative souvenirs from IRPS and KRDE to the Executive Vice President of Operational Area 4 in recognition of the efforts made to preserve and keep the Vintage Livery Locomotive in operation throughout the Operational Area to this day.
