KAI Daop 5 and Daop 8 Provide Assistance for MSMEs and Mosque Development
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting sustainable economic development to improve the quality of life and the environment for both the Company and the wider community through its Partnership Program, Community Development Program, and Community Relations initiatives.
This commitment was realized through the Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program organized by KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto on Monday (25/10).
Under the TJSL Partnership Program, Daop 5 provided financial assistance of Rp75,000,000 to its fostered MSME partner, Mrs. Desi Wijayanti, owner of Makaroni Keju Lestari in Banyumas Regency.
The assistance was presented directly by Daop 5 Vice President Daniel Johannes Hutabarat at the Wijayakusuma Meeting Room, Daop 5 Purwokerto.
In his remarks, the Daop 5 Vice President stated that the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to affect countries around the world, has had a significant impact on many aspects of life. He expressed hope that the pandemic would soon come to an end so that MSME entrepreneurs could continue expanding their businesses.
"We hope more people will benefit from KAI's various TJSL programs and railway service innovations, especially amid the current global challenges caused by COVID-19. We want MSMEs not only to survive but also to continue growing and contribute to driving the national economy," he said.
Daop 8 Provides Assistance to MWCNU Wonokromo and Baitul Musthofa Mosque
On the same day, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 8 Surabaya also distributed assistance through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Community Development Program on Monday (25/10).

The assistance was provided to the Majelis Wakil Cabang Nahdlatul Ulama (MWCNU) Wonokromo and the construction of Baitul Musthofa Mosque in Gendangan, Sidoarjo. The total assistance amounted to Rp40,255,000 and was handed over by Daop 8 Deputy Executive Vice President Mariyanto to representatives of each recipient.
The assistance consisted of Rp19,150,000 for MWCNU Wonokromo to procure office equipment and Rp21,105,000 to support the development of Baitul Musthofa Mosque.
Daop 8 Deputy Executive Vice President Mariyanto said that the assistance reflects the company's social responsibility and concern for communities located around its operational areas.
