KAI has established collaborations with Institut Teknologi Bandung on October 13, 2017, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman on November 15, 2021, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta on June 20, 2022, and Universitas Indonesia on July 26, 2022. This cooperation encompasses scientific research and development, as well as education and training for human resources.
“The cooperation built with these various universities is a form of KAI's commitment to developing human resources within the company. This collaboration is an important part of the efforts to increase the competence of all KAI personnel,” said VP Public Relations of KAI Joni Martinus.
Human resources are one of the critical factors that cannot be separated from a company. Human resources development is necessary to prepare KAI talents to compete in global competition.
In addition, in 2022 KAI is cooperating with Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Padjadjaran, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Indonesia, and Universitas Gadjah Mada to provide a 10% discount for Long-Distance Train travel. The discount is given to parties such as lecturers, educational staff, or alumni family associations in accordance with the cooperation agreement with KAI.
KAI feels this is an important step in the effort to boost and expand KAI's Customer Base. The goal is to ensure that the customer segmentation using trains becomes more diverse and increases.
For the establishment of this cooperation, KAI expresses its gratitude to the involved parties. It is hoped that this collaboration can provide great results and benefits for the progress of both parties.
“Hopefully, this cooperation can drive the creation of outstanding fulfillment and development for KAI's human resource talents, as well as making train transportation the primary choice of transportation for Indonesia in the future,” concluded Joni.
