PT KAI (Persero) President Director Didiek Hartantyo wins the Best CEO in the Rail Transportation Category award at the Indonesia Best 50 CEO Awards 2022 (Employees’ Choice) 3rd Anniversary event in Jakarta, Wednesday (20/04).

The award was presented to 50 CEOs or president directors of companies who achieved the highest scores in their respective sub-industry categories. The evaluation parameters included Popularity, Competency, Crisis Leadership, and Personality.

“I would like to thank The Iconomics for the appreciation and the award given. I dedicate this award to all KAI and KAI Group employees who continue to strive and support the company's vision so that KAI remains resilient in facing the Covid-19 pandemic,” Didiek expressed.

Didiek added that the award is also dedicated to all loyal KAI customers for continuing to choose trains as their preferred mode of transportation. This accolade will further motivate KAI to continuously provide the best service during these challenging times for the transportation industry.

In addition, Didiek also appreciated the government's efforts in managing the Covid-19 pandemic, which has allowed various industries to rebound, including the transportation sector.

“We will certainly turn this into a momentum for the revival of national railways. We will prepare for this moment meticulously, especially since KAI is about to face the 2022 Lebaran transportation period. All of us as KAI personnel will continue to be adaptive, solution-oriented, and collaborative to serve the public faster and better,” Didiek stated.

Founder & CEO of The Iconomics Bram S. Putro said that the evaluation for this award was conducted through a survey of thousands of employees across various industries and categories, with the cumulative number of respondents approaching 8,000 between early January 2022 and early March 2022.

“To ensure execution efficiency, only around 200 CEOs/institutions were included in the survey. The selection of research subject candidates (CEOs and their institutions) was based on the choice of The Iconomics editorial team and/or requests from the respective institutions, following previous correspondence conducted by The Iconomics,” Bram said.
