PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is implementing new rules for Long-Distance Train customers starting this coming July 17. Specifically for Long-Distance Train passengers, those who have not received their third vaccination (booster) are required to show a valid negative RT-PCR or Rapid Test Antigen result at the time of boarding.

The rule adjusts to the issuance of the Ministry of Transportation's Circular Letter (SE) Number 72 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Train Transportation during the Covid-19 Pandemic dated July 8, 2022.

“KAI will implement the policy provided by the government for train travel during the Covid-19 pandemic, which is expected to suppress Covid-19 transmission rates,” emphasized VP Public Relations of KAI Joni Martinus.

KAI itself provides vaccination facilities for customers intending to travel by train, with several KAI health clinics located near KAI Stations, so customers do not have to busily search for the third vaccine elsewhere. The facilities provided by PT KAI will continue to expand along with the enforcement of the Ministry of Transportation's SE No. 72 on July 17.
