Through the CSR Program, KAI Divre III Palembang Distributes Qurban Animals on Eid al-Adha 1443H

In commemorating Eid al-Adha 1443 H, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divre III Palembang implemented a CSR program by distributing qurban animal assistance in the form of 5 cows and 18 goats. This program was executed in the operational area of Divre III, Palembang on Saturday (9/7/2022).

The qurban animal assistance worth IDR 154,000,000 was distributed to several communities in Arahan Village, Gedung Agung Village, Tanjung Jambu Village, Muara Lawai Village, East Merapi District, Lahat Regency.

Then to the communities of Merapi Village, Payo Village, Tanjung Pinang Village, Sukamarga Village, West Merapi District, Lahat Regency. The community of Muara Gula Baru Village, Ujan Mas District, then residents of Tanjung Raja Village, Tanjung Raja Sub-district, Muara Enim District, Muara Enim Regency.

Not only that, there were also residents of Ogan Ilir Regency and the community of Ki Marogan Street, Kertapati Sub-district, Kertapati District, Palembang City who received the qurban animal assistance.

“The distribution of these qurban animals is KAI's care program for the community around the operational areas in commemorating the Eid al-Adha holy day, especially since currently many people are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Head of Public Relations of Divre III Palembang, Aida Suryanti.

Not the first time, previously in the first quarter, KAI Divre III Palembang had provided CSR assistance in the form of worship facilities and infrastructure. Not only that, there were also other public facilities along with a garbage transport motorcycle with a total value of IDR 251,750,000. In Semester I of 2022, KAI Divre III has provided CSR program assistance worth IDR 405,750,000 for the community in the South Sumatra region and it will continue to be carried out in stages.

Aida hopes that through this CSR program, it can enhance good relations between the company and the surrounding community of the operational areas for smooth operations. Aida also stated that a good relationship between the company and the surrounding community is highly needed to support the company's business processes.

Meanwhile, the slaughtering and distribution of the qurban animal meat were also carried out in other regions with various targets, including the community around the office environment, orphanages, the underprivileged (dhuafa), and employees such as contract workers (PKWT), office boys, and security guards.
