KAI Launches the "KAIPay" Digital Wallet
As part of its digital innovation efforts, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has launched KAIPay as an alternative payment method within the KAI Access application. The launch took place at Gambir Station on Thursday (18/11).
KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo stated that KAIPay is part of the company's ongoing digital transformation initiative aimed at accelerating business growth. The introduction of KAIPay is expected to provide customers with a secure, convenient, and faster payment experience when making various transactions through the KAI Access application.
To use KAIPay, customers are required to activate the service in the KAI Access application by completing their personal information and creating a KAIPay PIN. The PIN serves as payment verification while ensuring the security of every transaction.
Customers must also update their KAI Access application to at least version 4.7.4 (build 104) to access the KAIPay feature.
KAIPay can be used to pay for first-mile and last-mile services, as well as various products and services available through the KAI Access application. In addition, customers can enjoy payments without any additional transaction fees when using KAIPay.
Customers can top up their KAIPay balance through Virtual Account transfers at selected banks or by making payments at participating convenience stores with an administration fee of Rp0 during the promotional period.
"The introduction of KAIPay is expected to further increase public interest, especially among millennials, in using railway services while continuing to comply with strict health protocols," Didiek concluded.
