The Railway Sports and Arts Week or Porseni Kereta Api 2026 was officially closed in Yogyakarta on Thursday (16/7). The closing of this event marked the culmination of a series of competitions that brought together KAI Group personnel in the spirit of sportsmanship, creativity, togetherness, and social care.
Porseni Kereta Api 2026 was participated in by 1,674 athletes and arts participants from 17 contingents originating from the Head Office, Operational Areas, Regional Divisions, LRT Jabodebek Division, KCIC, as well as the Subsidiaries Consortium. Participants competed in nine sports, namely football, futsal, basketball, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, chess, and e-sports, as well as two art categories, namely band and dance.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Taufik Hidayat, who attended the event, expressed appreciation to the KAI Group for providing a platform for employees to maintain physical fitness, develop creativity, and strengthen togetherness. According to him, the values of discipline, resilience, teamwork, and mutual respect formed through sports and the arts can be applied in the workplace and in service to the public.
“Porseni Kereta Api brings together participants from various regions in the same spirit. All participants have delivered their best performance while continuing to respect their opponents and uphold sportsmanship,” said Taufik.
On the same occasion, financial assistance of Rp5,000,000 each was presented to four former athletes, totaling Rp20,000,000. The assistance was given to Markus Fajar Listiyantara, a former football athlete; Suwarsi, a former weightlifting athlete; Cholid Dalyanto, a former football athlete; and Cahyo Priyambodo, a former futsal athlete.
“Achievements become more meaningful when accompanied by care and the willingness to share. This assistance serves as recognition of the contributions of former athletes while also strengthening intergenerational ties in the world of sports,” Taufik added.
President Director of KAI, Bobby Rasyidin, stated that Porseni Kereta Api is part of the company’s efforts to build KAI Group personnel who are healthy, creative, resilient, and capable of collaboration.
