Compartment Suite Train recorded its highest passengers volume during January–July 2026. In July 2026, the service featuring private travel compartments served 5,712 customers, an increase of 10.21% compared to June, which recorded 5,183 customers.

The July achievement continued the upward trend in the use of the Compartment Suite Train over the past several months. Cumulatively, throughout January–July 2026, this service served 31,835 passengers, growing 51.47% compared to the same period in 2025, which recorded 21,017 passengers.

Vice President Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba said the growth demonstrates the increasingly diverse preferences of passengers in determining their Train travel experience.

“Every customer has different travel needs. Some consider efficiency, comfort, and privacy. The growth of the Compartment Suite Train shows that more personalized travel experiences have a market segment that continues to grow,” said Anne.

The customer volume of the Compartment Suite Train in 2026 was recorded at 4,241 passengers in January, 3,987 in February, 4,023 in March, 4,019 in April, 4,670 in May, 5,183 in June, and 5,712 passengers in July.

Compared to January 2026, customer volume in July increased by approximately 34.69%. The increase became more apparent starting in May, then continued in June and reached its highest point in July.

Anne added that this development serves as one of the indicators for KAI in understanding the dynamics of customer needs and developing product differentiation in a measured manner.

“Train services serve an increasingly broad spectrum of journeys, both in terms of destinations and customer preferences. KAI will continue to understand these needs as part of service development, with safety and service quality remaining priorities,” concluded Anne.
