KAI Offers Ticket Discounts of up to 30% at KAI EXPO 2026

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is offering train ticket discounts of up to 30% during KAI EXPO 2026, held from September 4 to 6, 2026. The program provides the public with an opportunity to plan their journeys at more affordable fares, with discount rates determined based on the time between ticket purchase and the departure date.

KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba said that KAI EXPO 2026 is one of KAI’s efforts to increase public interest in railway transportation while providing customers with a range of fare options.

“KAI is offering discounts of up to 30% for customers who purchase tickets during KAI EXPO 2026. The longer the period between the ticket purchase and departure date, based on the specified period, the greater the discount customers can receive,” said Anne.

The discounts are divided into three schemes. Customers can receive a 30% discount for departures scheduled 41–45 days from the date of purchase, a 10% discount for departures scheduled 6–40 days from the date of purchase, and a 5% discount for departures scheduled 0–5 days from the date of purchase.

For example, if a customer purchases a ticket on September 4, 2026, the highest discount of 30% applies to journeys with departure dates falling within 41–45 days after the purchase date. Under this scheme, customers who have planned their journeys further in advance have the opportunity to receive greater discounts.

“This scheme provides customers with options based on their travel plans. Those who have planned their journeys well in advance can take advantage of discounts of up to 30%, while journeys with closer departure dates can still receive discounted fares in accordance with the applicable terms,” said Anne.

Promotional tickets can be purchased at the KAI booth during KAI EXPO 2026 on September 4, 5, and 6, 2026. The promotion applies to commercial train services, including Suite Class Compartment, Luxury, Priority, and Panoramic services, while the ticket allocation and discounted fares remain available.

The promotional fares do not apply to special fares and cannot be combined with other fare reductions or discounts. Tickets purchased at discounted fares may still be cancelled or rescheduled in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.

“We invite the public to take advantage of KAI EXPO 2026 to plan their journeys by train. Through the various service and fare options available, KAI continues to encourage more people to choose public transportation to support their mobility,” Anne concluded.
