“KAI ensures that every rolling stock maintenance process is carried out in accordance with applicable safety and reliability standards. The readiness of Commuter Line Jabodetabek services remains a key priority amid the growing mobility needs of the community,” said Bobby.
Vice President of Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba explained that the maintenance of the 7 iE305/CLI 225 KRL trainsets is being carried out in stages in collaboration with INKA, KAI Commuter, and relevant parties. The process includes inspections of systems, technical components, and rolling stock safety aspects before the trainsets return to service.
Anne explained that one iE305/CLI 225 KRL trainset is currently undergoing final inspections and is targeted to be ready this week. The remaining six trainsets will then be completed in stages, with three trainsets targeted for completion by September 25, 2026, and the remaining three by October 9, 2026.
“Each trainset that has completed the entire inspection process and is declared ready will be handed over to KAI Commuter to support Commuter Line Jabodetabek services according to operational needs,” said Anne.
Anne added that KAI continues to ensure collaboration between KAI Commuter, a subsidiary of KAI, and INKA to complete the maintenance of the 7 iE305/CLI 225 KRL trainsets according to the established timeline. This collaboration is an important part of maintaining the readiness of Commuter Line Jabodetabek services in supporting mobility needs across the Jabodetabek area.
“Comprehensive inspections are carried out to ensure that every trainset returning to service meets safety and rolling stock reliability standards, as well as the operational requirements of Commuter Line Jabodetabek,” said Anne.
