Today, August 17, 2026, the KAI Group is offering an IDR 8 fare for journeys on LRT Jabodebek and most Commuter Line services in celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The special fare can be used by the public to support various Independence Day activities, from attending celebrations and traveling for leisure to visiting family.

KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin said the program is part of the company's efforts to provide travel options that are relevant to the Independence Day momentum.

“August 17 is celebrated together by people in many places. We want public transportation to be part of the celebration by providing more affordable travel options,” said Bobby.

The IDR 8 fare applies to LRT Jabodebek and most Commuter Line services in accordance with the provisions of each service. The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Commuter Line is not included in the IDR 8 fare program.

Beyond urban travel, the Independence Day spirit is also reflected in Long-Distance Train services. KAI is offering a 17% discount on commercial economy-class Long-Distance Trains specifically for departures on August 17, 2026.
