PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) continues to strengthen Access by KAI as the integrated travel platform within the KAI Group ecosystem. Through a single digital gateway, the application connects customers with a wide range of rail services, including intercity trains, local trains, Commuter Line, LRT Jabodebek, Airport Rail Link, and high-speed rail.

This development positions Access by KAI as a key part of the customer journey, allowing users to plan trips, purchase tickets, book supporting services, and access real-time travel information—all within one application.

From January to June 2026, Access by KAI recorded 17,009,374 ticket transactions for mainline and local train services, accounting for 76.34 percent of the total 22,281,645 transactions across all sales channels.

In terms of ticket volume, Access by KAI facilitated the purchase of 24,544,468 tickets, representing 73.68 percent of the total 33,313,364 mainline and local train tickets sold during the first half of 2026.

Vice President Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba said the growing use of the application reflects changing customer behavior in planning and managing rail travel.

"Our digital transformation is designed to simplify every stage of the travel experience. Customers now have greater control—from choosing services and planning their journey to purchasing tickets, arranging travel needs, and tracking their train in real time," said Anne.

As of June 30, 2026, Access by KAI had 30,449,049 registered users, an increase of 3,154,132 new users during the first half of the year. The application also recorded 9,058,935 monthly active users within the last 30 days.

Meanwhile, cumulative downloads of Access by KAI reached 41,011,320, with 4,893,743 users, or approximately 16.07 percent of registered users, subscribing as premium members.

The ecosystem is further enhanced with features such as Trip Planner for organizing travel itineraries, hotel reservations for destination cities, and Railfood for onboard meal ordering. Customers can also use the Female Seat Map when selecting seats and Live Tracking to monitor their train's location during the journey.

By integrating six rail services into one digital ecosystem, Access by KAI provides customers with a more seamless travel experience. A passenger can travel by intercity train, then continue their journey using Commuter Line, LRT Jabodebek, Airport Rail Link, local trains, or high-speed rail—all planned through a single platform.

This integrated travel data also enables KAI Group to continuously improve service coordination, streamline customer touchpoints, and deliver a more consistent travel experience across different rail services.

"We want customers to experience their journey as one seamless travel experience. Switching between different rail services should remain easy to plan, easy to access, and easy to understand from start to finish," Anne added.

KAI also continuously gathers customer feedback through various service channels. Usage patterns and Voice of Customer insights are used to enhance navigation, improve information clarity, strengthen feature reliability, and ensure services remain relevant to evolving customer needs.

"Every customer insight helps us identify opportunities for improvement. Those evaluations become the foundation for continuously developing Access by KAI into an even more user-friendly platform that supports the growing mobility needs of our customers," Anne concluded.
