Eid al-Adha is a moment to strengthen care and the spirit of sharing with others. During Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program, distributed qurban animal assistance to communities in various operational areas of the company.

This program is part of KAI’s efforts to continuously provide benefits to communities around its operational areas. Through the distribution of qurban animals, the company hopes that the happiness and blessings of Eid al-Adha can be felt more widely by the beneficiaries.

The implementation of this program is also in line with increasing public trust in railway services. From January to March 2026, KAI Group served 128,055,072 customers, an increase of 9.97% compared with the same period in 2025, which recorded 116,451,006 customers. This growth represents a responsibility that KAI continues to maintain through service improvements as well as social contributions to the community.

KAI Executive Vice President of Corporate Secretary Wisnu Pramudyo said that the trust given by the public to KAI is a responsibility that must be properly maintained, including through various programs that provide benefits to surrounding communities.

"Through the CSR program, KAI strives to provide benefits that can be directly felt by the community. During the momentum of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, we distribute qurban animal assistance as a form of the company’s concern for communities around KAI’s operational areas. We hope this assistance can provide benefits to the recipients and strengthen the good relationship that has been established between KAI and the community," he said.

The assistance consists of qurban animals sourced from the company’s CSR program and distributed to communities in various KAI operational areas. The details include Daop 1 Jakarta with 20 cows, Daop 2 Bandung with 4 cows, Daop 9 Jember with 1 cow, Divre III Palembang with 30 cows, Divre IV Tanjungkarang with 3 cows and 23 goats, and Subdivre 1.1 Aceh with 1 cow.

Overall, through the 2026 CSR program, KAI distributed 82 qurban animals consisting of cows and goats. The assistance was provided to communities around the company’s operational areas so that the benefits could be directly received by the beneficiaries.

For KAI, maintaining good relations with the community is an important part of supporting the company’s sustainability. Therefore, various CSR programs continue to be directed toward providing benefits that are relevant to community needs and supporting social development in various regions.

The distribution of qurban animals is expected to strengthen the spirit of togetherness, which is an important value in the celebration of Eid al-Adha. In addition to helping beneficiary communities, the activity also serves as a means to strengthen the relationship between the company and the surrounding environment that has grown together with KAI.

"Eid al-Adha teaches the importance of sharing and caring for others. We hope that the assistance distributed through this CSR program can provide benefits to beneficiary communities. We also ask for prayers and support so that KAI can continue to provide railway services that are safe, secure, comfortable, and beneficial for the people of Indonesia," he said.
