The extended holiday period of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, which coincides with Pancasila Day, has encouraged increased public mobility across various regions. Trains have once again become a preferred travel option for people who want to enjoy their holidays with measured travel times, comfortable journeys, and access close to city activity centers and tourist destinations.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded that as of Friday, 29 May 2026 at 10:00 WIB, ticket sales for the departure period of 26 May to 1 June 2026 had reached 1,113,902 tickets. This number still has the potential to increase as ticket sales continue. During the first three days of the long weekend period from 26–28 May 2026, KAI served a total of 544,974 customers.

KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba said that the high public interest in using trains shows the increasing trust of customers in rail-based public transportation services.

"We would like to express our appreciation for the trust of customers who choose trains as part of their long holiday journeys. KAI continues to strive to provide journeys that are safe, comfortable, punctual, and enjoyable so customers can enjoy every moment of their trip with family and friends," she said.

KAI observed that customer travel patterns during this period were spread across various favorite destinations in Java and Sumatra. Yogyakarta, Bandung, Solo, Semarang, Surabaya, Purwokerto, and several destinations in Sumatra became popular choices among customers. In addition to punctuality and travel comfort, more customers are now making train journeys part of the holiday experience itself. From the train window, customers can enjoy views of rice fields, mountains, historic urban areas, and coastal landscapes that characterize various regions of Indonesia.
