KAI Successfully Serves 214,342 Customers on the First Day of Long Weekend Departures
The extended holiday period of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, which coincides closely with Pancasila Day, has encouraged increased public mobility across various regions. Trains have once again become a preferred mode of transportation for people who want to enjoy their holidays with more predictable travel times, comfortable journeys, and convenient access to city centers and tourist destinations.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded that as of Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 10:00 WIB, ticket sales for the departure period of 26 May to 1 June 2026 had reached 911,176 tickets. This figure still has the potential to increase as ticket sales continue.
KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba said that high public enthusiasm was evident from the first day of the long weekend period. On Tuesday, 26 May 2026, KAI successfully served 214,342 customers, becoming the highest customer volume recorded so far during this extended holiday period.
