PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) held a tahlilan and joint prayer session at Eastern Bekasi Station on Monday (5/4) as a form of tribute to the deceased victims and moral support for the affected customers and families.

The event was attended by the Board of Directors, Commissioners, and the extended KAI family, serving as a space for togetherness amidst the ongoing recovery process.

President Director of KAI Bobby Rasyidin stated that the tahlilan and joint prayer were aimed at praying for the deceased victims and providing strength to the customers who are still undergoing treatment.

"We pray for our brothers and sisters who have passed before us so that their good deeds may be accepted, all their sins forgiven, and they be granted the best place by His side. For those who are still under medical care, we hope for a speedy recovery so they can return to their daily activities as before," he said.

He added that KAI will continue to support customers and their families until every stage of handling is properly completed.

"This loss is a shared grief. KAI will continue to be present and assist, ensuring that customers who are still hospitalized receive the necessary care until they recover," he added.

The series of activities included the recitation of Surah Yasin and tahlil, a religious sermon, as well as the laying of flowers as a gesture of respect for the victims. The Commissioners and Directors of KAI also laid flowers as an expression of condolences and tribute to the victims.

Support from the public continues to pour in through prayers and direct presence at the location. This serves as a source of strength for customers and families going through the recovery period.

In this process, KAI ensures that assistance is provided comprehensively through follow-up medical services, psychological support, and coordination of customer and family needs throughout every stage of recovery.
