President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Bobby Rasyidin conducted a direct inspection of train travel operations, encompassing Commuter Line and Long-Distance Train services along the Manggarai to Eastern Bekasi line, to ensure journeys run safely and increasingly under control ahead of the work week.

The visit began at Manggarai Station as the primary operational hub, then continued along the Bekasi line to Eastern Bekasi Station to observe firsthand the conditions of KRL travel, the smooth movement of long-distance trains, and the ongoing support services on site.

In Eastern Bekasi, attention was directed to the Information Post, which serves as a support space for customers and families. The inspection then proceeded to Primaya Eastern Bekasi Hospital and Primaya Western Bekasi Hospital to check on the condition of customers still undergoing treatment, as well as to convey direct support.

On that occasion, Bobby also expressed appreciation for the support of various parties who contributed during the response process. In the Eastern Bekasi Station area, floral arrangements and messages of prayer from the public were seen arranged as a form of care and empathy for the affected customers.

"The care that has been shown becomes a source of strength to keep moving forward. Currently, our focus is ensuring that the recovery process goes well, supporting customers and families, and safeguarding future safety. We will continue to be present through every step of this process," said Bobby.

In line with the ongoing recovery process, KAI conducts periodic monitoring of customer conditions. As of Sunday (5/3) at 07:00 WIB, 81 hospitalized customers have returned home after receiving treatment, while 19 other customers remain under follow-up care in hospitals.

KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba stated that assistance continues to be provided so that the recovery process proceeds smoothly.

"We continue to monitor the condition of customers who are still hospitalized and ensure that their treatment needs are met. For customers who have returned home, we continue to extend support as needed," said Anne.

For customers who paid for medical treatment independently, KAI provides a claim or reimbursement mechanism. Requirements include proof of payment containing travel data, customer identification, receipts and itemized medical costs, a medical summary, and a copy of a bank account. Once the files are declared complete, the claim process will be coordinated with the insurance provider.

"The claim process takes a maximum of 21 working days after documents are declared complete. Customers will be contacted again by the relevant parties alongside KAI," Anne added.

Trauma healing services are also available for customers in need, with requests submitted through the Information Post or call center at 0812-9660-5747. Initial support can be provided via telemedicine, while in-person assistance is available for customers' families in need.

The Eastern Bekasi Post will remain operational until May 11, 2026, serving information, administrative, and follow-up support needs.

On the operational side, Greater Jakarta Commuter Line services have shown consistent improvement in recent days. Departure punctuality gradually rose from 71.54% on April 30 to 87.39% on May 1, reaching 88.84% on May 2. Arrival punctuality also increased from 68.46% to 84.86%, improving further to 87.04%. Delayed journeys have steadily decreased, with delay durations becoming more controlled.

Similar improvements were observed along the Cikarang line. Departure punctuality increased from 50% to 61%, reaching 66%, while arrival punctuality rose from 44% to 57% and then to 61%. This trend reflects an increasingly stable normalization process.

Long-Distance Train trips passing through the Eastern Bekasi area have also resumed running under a well-maintained operational pattern. On a daily basis, 32 train trips from Pasarsenen and 36 train trips from Gambir traverse the line.

Since operations resumed from April 28 to May 2, 2026, Commuter Line passenger volume along the Cikarang line was recorded at 574,644 customers.

"We understand that every journey holds meaning for each customer. Therefore, we will continue to be present to assist, ensure services run safely, and maintain operational reliability moving forward," Anne concluded.
