PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) reported progress on the support provided to customers affected by the incident at Eastern Bekasi Station as of Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 07:00 WIB. Out of data tracking 106 customers, 76 customers have now returned home, while 24 customers remain hospitalized.

KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba stated that the main focus at present is ensuring every customer can navigate the recovery period with adequate assistance.

"We understand that the recovery process takes time. Therefore, we continue to support customers and their families, ensuring that care needs are met during treatment, as well as providing trauma healing services so the recovery process can proceed more calmly," said Anne.

KAI continues to operate an Information Post at Eastern Bekasi Station until May 11, 2026, as a support space for customers and families. Through this post, follow-up medical care, administrative coordination, and trauma healing services are being conducted gradually to ensure each step is handled in a structured manner.

Meanwhile, customer property retrieval services are ongoing. As of May 2, 2026, at 06:00 WIB, a total of 115 items have been found, with 57 items returned to their owners, while 58 others remain in the verification process. KAI encourages customers who believe they lost items to retrieve them through the Eastern Bekasi Post.

At the incident location, support from the public continues to arrive. Residents and community members have come to offer prayers and leave flowers as a gesture of care. This presence serves as a source of strength for families going through this difficult time.

As time progresses, services at Eastern Bekasi Station have resumed serving the public. Since operations restarted on April 28, 2026, Commuter Line passenger volume has reached 15,774 users for Gate In and 20,575 users for Gate Out.

In the support process, KAI is also paying attention to the future well-being of the bereaved families. Support in the form of educational guarantees has been provided to the children of deceased customers, so that hope is maintained and their future can continue forward.

President Director of KAI Bobby Rasyidin stated that all ongoing efforts are focused on recovery and future safety.

"We express our deep sorrow and sincere apologies once again to all customers and families regarding the incident at Eastern Bekasi Station. We will continue to stand by every family and customer throughout this recovery process. The prayers and care provided serve as encouragement for us to continuously safeguard safety in the future," Bobby concluded.
