KAI Issues Apology, Focuses on Passenger Evacuation at Bekasi Timur Station

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) stated that an operational incident has occurred in the East Bekasi Station area, Operation Area 1 Jakarta, which has impacted train journeys. 

We understand that this situation causes concern for passengers and families waiting for news. Currently, all efforts are focused on the evacuation process of passengers and train crew, as well as handling victims at the scene with safety as the top priority. 

KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba expressed apologies to customers. "We convey our apologies for this incident. Our current focus is ensuring that all passengers and officers receive handling as quickly and as well as possible. We also continue to coordinate with all relevant parties in the field," she said. 

KAI will continue to provide regular information updates along with the progress of handling at the location.
