PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has introduced a special surprise for the public during the 2026 Eid (Lebaran) Transport period. As part of efforts to improve service quality, encourage public transport usage, and foster user loyalty, KAI will implement a Rp1 fare across all routes and services of the LRT Jabodebek on Day 1 (H1) and Day 2 (H2) of Eid 2026, in accordance with government regulations.

President Director of KAI, Bobby Rasyidin, stated that this policy reflects KAI's commitment to making public transportation more accessible to the public during the Eid holiday season.

"The Eid period is a time when people travel to visit family, go on outings, and enjoy quality time together. Through the Rp1 fare policy for LRT Jabodebek on Day 1 and Day 2 of Eid 2026, KAI aims to deliver a pleasant surprise while encouraging more people to utilize safe, comfortable, and integrated public transport," said Bobby.

According to Bobby, this special fare initiative is expected to boost public interest in using LRT Jabodebek as an urban mobility choice, particularly during the holiday period characterized by high travel activity.

To ensure the smooth implementation of the program, KAI through LRT Jabodebek has prepared several anticipatory measures. These preparations include optimizing security, medical, and customer service personnel at both stations and onboard trains, managing passenger density on platforms, around fare gates, and at high-traffic points, as well as providing dedicated assistance for priority passengers.

Additionally, KAI has comprehensively prepared ticketing system adjustments, covering fare settings, gate readiness, and sales channels. To handle potential surges in passenger volume, KAI has also outlined operational contingency plans, including establishing Eid Command Posts and deploying weekend operational patterns to ensure services remain optimal, safe, and comfortable.

"KAI remains committed to providing public transportation services that meet the needs of the community. Through this special fare policy, KAI aims to offer greater value to LRT Jabodebek users during the Eid period while further strengthening the role of public transportation as a reliable urban mobility solution," Bobby concluded.
