Danantara Indonesia marked its first year of institutional journey through a joint reflection event held at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Tuesday (March 11). The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Cabinet Ministers, as well as the leadership and all Danantara personnel.

On the occasion, President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto provided direction to all Danantara Indonesia personnel on the importance of maintaining integrity, governance discipline, and a long-term orientation in managing state assets to strengthen the direction of national economic development.

The President emphasized that Danantara Indonesia was established to ensure that state assets are managed professionally and with a long-term focus on the interests of the nation, enabling them to generate tangible added value for national development and public welfare.

“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a state investment management institution that can be on par with sovereign wealth funds at the global level. In this first year, it has become evident that with good management, disciplined governance, and strong commitment, the performance of state asset management can improve significantly. However, this achievement is only the beginning. Going forward, we must continue to strengthen governance and improve performance so that state asset management truly provides the greatest possible benefit for the people of Indonesia.”

The first-anniversary celebration carried the theme “One Danantara,” reflecting the spirit of all state-owned enterprises to move forward together in one unified effort to strengthen the direction of national economic development and create a broader impact for future generations.

Rosan Roeslani, CEO of Danantara Indonesia, said that the first year of Danantara’s journey focused on building strong institutional governance while ensuring that the direction of state investment management remained grounded in creating long-term benefits for the public.

“Ultimately, the management of state assets must create a tangible impact on the nation’s future. Therefore, a commitment to developing future generations is also an important part of Danantara Indonesia’s journey,” he said.

This commitment is reflected not only in strengthening governance and state asset management structures, but also in various initiatives demonstrating that the results of development must provide tangible benefits to the public, including Indonesia’s younger generation.

As a symbol of its commitment to the future of the nation’s children, the event also featured the symbolic handover of 88,000 school supply packages for children across Indonesia. The program was carried out simultaneously by state-owned enterprises in various regions as a form of support for access to education and preparation for Indonesia’s Golden Generation.

As part of the implementation of the program in various regions, several state-owned enterprises also contributed by distributing school supplies to students. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) was one of the state-owned enterprises participating in the distribution of the assistance through activities conducted in several of the company’s operational areas.

KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin said KAI contributed by distributing school supplies to approximately 4,000 students at 30 schools across Surakarta, Klaten, Sukoharjo, Sragen, Banyumas, Pemalang Regency, Demak, Pekalongan, Kendal, and Blora.

“KAI hopes that these school supplies will provide direct benefits to students in carrying out their daily learning activities. Supporting education is part of our contribution to supporting the growth of a younger generation with greater opportunities to develop and achieve a better future,” said Bobby.

Through this first-anniversary milestone, Danantara Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to continuously strengthening governance, improving the quality of state asset management, and promoting strategic investments that generate long-term economic and social impacts for Indonesia.

“This first year has been a phase of establishing the institutional direction. Going forward, our focus is to ensure that this direction is translated into tangible performance through strong governance, professional state asset management, and strategic investments that provide benefits to the national economy and the future of Indonesia’s generations,” concluded Rosan.
