PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) reported an operational disruption affecting KA 806A Commuter Line Airport after the train collided with a truck on the Poris–Batu Ceper section on Friday (20/2).

Vice President of Corporate Communication of KAI Anne Purba confirmed that all customers were safe.

“Safety is our top priority. All customers have been safely evacuated, and there were no casualties in the incident,” said Anne.

As a safety measure and to accelerate recovery, Commuter Line Airport operations have been temporarily suspended until the infrastructure has been declared safe for use. KAI is focusing all available resources on accelerating the recovery of the track so that services can gradually resume.

Since the morning, KAI has coordinated with various parties, including law enforcement authorities such as the police and the local government, to ensure that the handling and securing of the site are carried out in an orderly manner and in accordance with applicable regulations. The target is to gradually restore one track starting at 14:30 WIB, while continuing to prioritize safety aspects.

Regarding the incident, KAI will pursue legal action in accordance with applicable laws and regulations as part of its commitment to maintaining railway travel safety and improving discipline at level crossings.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused. All recovery efforts are being carried out intensively so that services can return to normal as soon as possible,” Anne concluded.
