PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) provided an update on ticket sales for the 2026 Eid Transportation period for departures from March 11 to April 1, 2026. As of Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 07:00 WIB, a total of 1,502,683 tickets had been sold out of the total 3,837,742 seats provided.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of KAI Anne Purba stated that ticket availability remains relatively ample and that customers can immediately plan their journeys according to their needs.

“Currently, both regular and additional train tickets can be booked through the Access by KAI application and other official channels. We encourage the public to plan their journeys early so they can choose schedules and routes according to their needs,” said Anne.

Several long-distance trains have become the main choices among customers during this year’s Eid period. The ten routes with the highest number of customers to date include:

  1. KA Airlangga on the Pasar Senen–Surabaya Pasarturi (pp) route: 58,026 customers
  2. KA Bengawan on the Pasar Senen–Purwosari (pp) route: 47,927 customers
  3. KA Serayu on the Pasar Senen–Kiaracondong–Purwokerto (pp) route: 47,235 customers
  4. KA Sri Tanjung on the Ketapang–Lempuyangan (pp) route: 44,005 customers
  5. KA Kahuripan on the Kiaracondong–Blitar (pp) route: 42,211 customers
  6. KA Sawunggalih on the Kutoarjo–Pasar Senen (pp) route: 40,376 customers
  7. KA Rajabasa on the Kertapati–Tanjungkarang (pp) route: 37,911 customers
  8. KA Pasundan Tambahan on the Kiaracondong–Surabaya Gubeng (pp) route: 33,441 customers
  9. KA Joglosemarkerto on the Solo Balapan–Purwokerto–Tegal–Semarang Tawang–Solo Balapan (pp) route: 31,234 customers
  10. KA Probowangi on the Surabaya Gubeng–Ketapang (pp) route: 27,145 customers

The high level of customer interest indicates that travel to various cities across Java and Sumatra has been taking place since the beginning of the ticket sales period.

Meanwhile, several departure dates with the highest ticket sales to date were recorded on March 24, 2026, with 108,297 tickets sold, followed by March 23, 2026, with 107,958 tickets, March 19, 2026, with 100,485 tickets, and March 18, 2026, with 98,731 tickets, indicating an increase in customer movement approaching the 2026 Eid homecoming and return travel periods.

Anne explained that customers who have not yet obtained tickets for their preferred dates still have opportunities by considering alternative schedules.

“For customers who have not yet obtained tickets for their preferred routes, we recommend considering alternative departure dates, either earlier or later than the originally planned date. The connecting train scheme can also be an option for reaching destinations through available combinations of journeys,” explained Anne.

The government has also provided a 30 percent fare incentive for journeys from March 14 to 29, 2026, as part of a strategy to maintain people’s purchasing power and support the management of national mobility. In response to this policy, KAI is carrying out the 2026 Eid Transportation assignment with a focus on rolling stock readiness, smooth operations, and customer service across all operating areas.

KAI encourages the public to purchase tickets through official channels, namely the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, and official sales partners working with the company to ensure transaction security and convenient services.
