Chinese New Year Long Holiday 2026, Train Tickets Still Available

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) announced that train tickets for the 2026 Chinese New Year long holiday period are still available, providing the public with an opportunity to plan trips with family and relatives. Public interest has continued to increase as the holiday period approaches.

Based on the 2026 Chinese New Year holiday monitoring report for departures between 13 and 17 February 2026, as of 12 February 2026 at 11:00 WIB, a total of 513,715 tickets had been sold out of the 822,607 seats provided by KAI. This means customers still have the opportunity to secure tickets on various routes and departure schedules.

Ticket Sales by Departure Date

  • 13 February: 130,233 passengers out of 163,949 available seats
  • 14 February: 123,452 passengers out of 163,440 available seats
  • 15 February: 92,511 passengers out of 164,773 available seats
  • 16 February: 73,291 passengers out of 165,554 available seats
  • 17 February: 94,228 passengers out of 164,891 available seats

  1. Yogyakarta – Gambir: 9,389 passengers
  2. Gambir – Yogyakarta: 8,191 passengers
  3. Gambir – Semarang Tawang: 6,224 passengers

  5. Semarang Tawang – Gambir: 5,763 passengers
  6. Pasarsenen – Lempuyangan: 5,402 passengers
  7. Gambir – Bandung: 5,186 passengers
  8. Bandung – Gambir: 4,571 passengers
  9. Yogyakarta – Surabaya Gubeng: 3,921 passengers
  10. Sukabumi – Bogor Paledang: 3,808 passengers


Vice President of Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba encouraged the public to plan their trips as early as possible and secure tickets before availability becomes more limited.

"We encourage customers to plan their journeys early and use KAI's official channels to obtain accurate and secure information. Tickets can be purchased through the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, and KAI's official sales partners. Customers may also obtain service information through the KAI Contact Center 121," Anne concluded.

KAI has ensured the readiness of its rolling stock, infrastructure, and human resources to support smooth operations throughout the Chinese New Year long holiday period. The public is encouraged to take advantage of the remaining ticket availability through KAI's official channels to ensure their journeys are planned comfortably and on time.
