The 2026 Imlek long holiday was lively from the outset. On the first day, Friday, February 13, 2026, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) served 202,105 customers across various travel routes.

As of February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. WIB, a total of 724,965 tickets for departures from February 13–17, 2026, had been sold out of the total 825,133 seats provided. This figure may still increase as sales continue closer to departure times.

The high public interest was reflected in the first-day occupancy rate, which reached 123 percent of the capacity of 164,196 seats. A figure above 100 percent occurs due to dynamic customers, namely customers who board and alight at intermediate stations before reaching their final destinations.

The number of customers by departure date is as follows:

  • February 13: 202,105 customers out of 164,196 seats
  • February 14: 188,405 customers out of 163,980 seats
  • February 15: 127,915 customers out of 165,213 seat
  • February 16: 96,642 customers out of 166,313 seats
  • February 17: 109,898 customers out of 165,431 seats

Customer enthusiasm was also reflected in the following ten favorite departure stations:

  2. Gambir: 43,290 customers
  3. Yogyakarta: 36,784 customers
