H-3 and H-2 Eid al-Fitr Tickets Still Available, KAI Encourages Customers to Plan Their Journeys Early

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) announced that train ticket sales for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr Transportation period are ongoing and tickets are still available, including for departures on H-3 and H-2 Eid al-Fitr. Tickets for these dates have officially been made available and can be booked starting today, in line with growing public interest in planning Eid al-Fitr journeys early.

Vice President of Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba explained that as of February 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB), ticket sales for H-3 Eid al-Fitr departures, or March 18, 2026, had reached 50,627 tickets. Meanwhile, H-2 Eid al-Fitr tickets, or March 19, 2026, had recorded sales of 49,933 tickets.

Overall, regular Eid al-Fitr train ticket sales for departures from March 11 to March 19, 2026, had reached 320,465 tickets as of February 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. This figure is expected to continue increasing as ticket sales remain ongoing according to the established schedule.

“This figure shows that there are still opportunities for people to obtain travel tickets for H-3 and H-2 Eid al-Fitr. We encourage the public to plan their journeys immediately and take advantage of the remaining ticket availability,” said Anne.

Based on preliminary sales data, the following are the 10 favorite routes with the highest sales volumes during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr period:

  1. Gambir – Semarang Tawang: 7,310 tickets
  2. Gambir – Yogyakarta: 6,821 tickets
  3. Gambir – Purwokerto: 4,650 tickets
  4. Gambir – Surabaya Pasar Turi: 4,617 tickets
  5. Pasarsenen – Kutoarjo: 4,235 tickets
  6. Pasarsenen – Lempuyangan: 3,993 tickets
  7. Pasarsenen – Purwokerto: 3,933 tickets
  8. Gambir – Cirebon: 3,648 tickets
  9. Pasarsenen – Surabaya Pasar Turi: 3,510 tickets
  10. Pasarsenen – Kebumen: 3,161 tickets
     

For customers who have not yet obtained tickets for trains serving their preferred routes, KAI encourages them to consider alternative departure dates, either one day earlier or one day later than their desired schedule. Customers can also utilize the connecting train feature or connecting train services through the Access by KAI application as a comfortable and well-planned travel solution.

In closing, Anne reminded the public to always purchase train tickets through official KAI channels, such as the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, and official sales partners that have collaborated with KAI.

“We encourage the public to avoid purchasing tickets through unauthorized parties that charge additional fees beyond the applicable provisions. For further information, customers can contact the KAI Contact Center 121,” concluded Anne.
