PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) announced that train tickets for departures on H-3 Eid al-Fitr, or March 18, 2026, have officially been made available and can be booked starting today. This date is one of the important moments as it coincides with a national holiday period that may be utilized by the public to plan trips with a longer holiday period.

Vice President of Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba explained that as of February 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB), 42,413 tickets for H-3 Eid al-Fitr, or March 18, 2026, had been sold out of a total of 120,409 tickets provided by KAI. With an occupancy rate of approximately 35.22%, this condition still provides ample opportunities for the public to make bookings.

“The figure shows that there are still many opportunities for people to obtain travel tickets for H-3 Eid al-Fitr. We encourage the public to plan their journeys immediately and take advantage of the still substantial ticket availability,” said Anne.

Cumulatively, KAI recorded that Eid al-Fitr ticket sales for the period from March 11 to March 18, 2026, had reached 244,341 tickets. This figure reflects the public’s enthusiasm for planning Eid al-Fitr journeys early, in line with the gradual opening of ticket sales according to schedule.

Anne added that H-3 Eid al-Fitr, or March 18, 2026, falls one day before the Nyepi National Holiday, which is then followed by a long weekend. This condition makes the date one of the strategic choices for people who want to enjoy a longer holiday with their families.

“H-3 Eid al-Fitr coincides with a national holiday and a long weekend, providing an opportunity for people to arrange a more optimal holiday schedule. We encourage the public to take advantage of this opportunity by making bookings early,” explained Anne.

In closing, Anne reminded the public to always purchase train tickets through official KAI channels, such as Access by KAI, the kai.id website, as well as official sales partners that have collaborated with KAI.

“We encourage the public to avoid purchasing tickets through unauthorized parties that charge unreasonable additional fees. For further information, customers can contact the KAI Contact Center 121,” concluded Anne.
