Eid al-Fitr 2026 Train Tickets Still Available, KAI Records 131,000 Tickets Already Booked

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) announced that train ticket bookings for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr Transportation period are still available and continue according to the H-45 booking scheme. Currently, the public can book tickets for departure dates from March 11 to March 16, 2026, through all official KAI channels.

Vice President of Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba stated that as of January 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB), KAI recorded 131,756 tickets booked for the aforementioned departure period. This number is expected to continue increasing as bookings remain open and public interest in planning early homecoming trips grows.

Based on preliminary data, KAI recorded the 10 routes with the highest booking volumes, namely Yogyakarta–Gambir, Pasarsenen–Lempuyangan, Lempuyangan–Pasarsenen, Gambir–Yogyakarta, Pasarsenen–Purwokerto, Yogyakarta–Surabaya Gubeng, Pasarsenen–Kutoarjo, Pasarsenen–Surabaya Pasar Turi, Bandung–Gambir, and Gambir–Cirebon. These routes reflect the high mobility of people to and from major cities during the early Eid al-Fitr period.

Anne emphasized that KAI is committed to maintaining the safety, smoothness, and comfort of train journeys during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr Transportation period through measured and customer-oriented service management.
