KAI Continues Preparations for the 2026 Eid Transportation Period, Regular Train Tickets Now Available for Booking Under the H-45 Scheme

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) continues to finalize preparations for the 2026 Eid Transportation period to support smooth public mobility during the homecoming and return journeys. One of the preparations already underway is the opening of regular train ticket sales through the H-45 booking scheme based on calendar days.

Currently, the public can book regular train tickets for departure dates at the beginning of the 2026 Eid Transportation period. Ticket sales are opened gradually each day, following the departure dates that continue to shift in accordance with the H-45 booking policy.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of KAI Anne Purba said that as of January 27, 2026, at 10:00 WIB, KAI had recorded sales of 16,524 tickets for departures on H-7 of Eid, or March 13, 2026. This figure is expected to continue increasing as ticket sales are still ongoing.

“The H-45 ticket sales scheme provides passengers with certainty when planning their journeys, while also helping KAI manage passenger flows in a more orderly and evenly distributed manner throughout the Eid period,” said Anne.

Anne added that ticket sales will continue to open gradually through early April 2026. At the same time, KAI regularly evaluates service requirements and will announce additional train services in accordance with changes in public demand.

KAI encourages the public to purchase tickets only through official channels, such as the Access by KAI application, the booking.kai.id website, and official ticketing partners, to ensure that transactions are secure and comply with applicable regulations.

“By booking tickets early in accordance with the H-45 calendar, passengers can prepare for their Eid journeys more comfortably and in a more organized manner,” concluded Anne.
