PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) stated that the up line on the Pekalongan Station–Sragi Station section, specifically at KM 88+6/7, became accessible again to train operations with a restricted speed of 10 km/h starting Saturday (17/1) at 3:00 p.m. WIB.

Vice President Corporate Communication of KAI Anne Purba explained that the reopening of the line was carried out after the waterlogging at the location gradually receded and technical inspection results confirmed that the track was safe to operate.

“After comprehensive monitoring and inspection, the up line can now be operated again with a speed restriction. This measure continues to prioritize the safety of train journeys,” said Anne.

The first train to safely and smoothly pass through the section was KA 187 Joglosemarkerto.

Anne added that although the line was accessible again, KAI continued to conduct intensive field monitoring to ensure infrastructure stability.

“Infrastructure personnel remain on standby for further monitoring so that track conditions remain safe and the normalization process can proceed gradually,” she explained.

As a result of the previous operational adjustments, several train journeys remained canceled today.

List of Canceled Trains (Updated January 17, 2026):
1. KA 216 Kaligung, Brebes–Semarang Poncol route
2. KA 217 Kaligung, Semarang Poncol–Cirebon Prujakan route

6. KA 213 Kaligung, Semarang Poncol–Brebes route
7. KA 175 Menoreh, Semarang Tawang–Pasar Senen route
