KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba explained that KAI EXPO 2026 is part of the company's efforts to offer customers more fare options while encouraging more people to choose rail for their journeys.

Three discount schemes are available during the promotion. Customers can receive a 30% discount for journeys scheduled 41 to 45 days after the purchase date. A 10% discount is available for departures scheduled 6 to 40 days after purchase, while journeys departing within 0 to 5 days are eligible for a 5% discount.

For example, customers purchasing their tickets on September 4, 2026, can enjoy the maximum 30% discount for journeys scheduled 41 to 45 days after their purchase. Simply put, planning ahead could mean bigger savings.

Anne added that the scheme gives customers the flexibility to choose fares that best suit their travel plans. Whether planning a trip well in advance or travelling on shorter notice, customers can still enjoy discounted fares based on the applicable terms.

The promotion is available exclusively through the KAI booth at KAI EXPO 2026 from September 4 to 6, 2026. It applies to commercial train services, including Suite Class Compartment, Luxury, Priority, and Panoramic services, while promotional ticket allocations remain available.

The promotional fares cannot be combined with special fares, reductions, or other discounts. However, tickets purchased under the promotion can still be cancelled or rescheduled in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.
