Departing from Bandung in southern Java, the Harina Train takes a distinctive route to Surabaya Pasarturi. The train first travels toward Cikampek before entering Java’s northern route through Cirebon, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Cepu, Bojonegoro, and finally Surabaya.

From January to September 2026, the Harina Train served 567,772 customers, up 19.37% from 475,637 customers during the same period in 2025. This means the service gained an additional 92,135 customers over the nine-month period.

The route makes the Harina Train one of the travel options connecting Bandung with various cities along Java’s northern corridor in a single journey. Customers from West Java can reach destinations across Central and East Java, while communities along the northern route can travel directly to Bandung.

Vice President of Corporate Communication KAI Anne Purba explained that the Harina Train’s route demonstrates how the railway network can provide travel options that meet different mobility needs. From Bandung, the journey first heads to Cikampek before continuing along Java’s northern route to Surabaya.

Throughout 2026, the Harina Train served 56,483 customers in January, 46,566 in February, 73,568 in March, 57,726 in April, 61,348 in May, 73,819 in June, 70,840 in July, 67,366 in August, and 60,056 customers in September.

Along its route, the Harina Train serves several stations, including Cimahi, Purwakarta, Cikampek, Cirebon, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang Tawang, Ngrombo, Cepu, Bojonegoro, Babat, Lamongan, and Surabaya Pasarturi, with stopping patterns depending on the journey.

By connecting numerous cities along its route, the Harina Train supports various mobility needs, including work, education, trade, family visits, and tourism. Different travel schedules also give customers greater flexibility to plan their journeys around their activities.

With more cities connected through a single journey, people have more options for getting around and carrying out their daily activities. KAI continues to maintain this connectivity through safe, comfortable, and reliable services.
