
KAI Adjusts LRT Jabodebek Operating Schedule Starting September 25, 2024
To improve service quality, starting September 25, 2024, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) adjusted the operating schedule of LRT Jabodebek. This step is taken to enhance operational efficiency while still meeting passenger needs during peak hours and optimizing maintenance activities. With this adjustment, the number of LRT Jabodebek trips on weekdays is 348 trips per day, while weekends remain at 260 trips per day.
During September 2024, average weekday ridership reached 79,247 passengers per day. Peak congestion occurs between 06.00–08.00 in the morning and 16.00–19.00 in the evening. Since its operation began, LRT Jabodebek has become a popular choice for commuters.
This adjustment was made based on evaluations showing the need to better balance trip frequency with passenger demand, especially during rush hours. KAI also uses this opportunity to ensure the reliability of both rolling stock and infrastructure remains optimal.
