PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has launched the Umrah with KAI Access program, giving customers the opportunity to win a free Umrah trip. Customers simply need to continue increasing their purchases of Commercial Class Long-Distance Train tickets through the KAI Access application during the period from January to June 2023.

"The Umrah giveaway program, which KAI is organizing for customers for the first time, is our way of showing appreciation to KAI's loyal customers, especially KAI Access members," said KAI Vice President of Public Relations, Joni Martinus.

KAI selected Umrah as the grand prize because of the high enthusiasm among Indonesians to visit the Holy Land. Moreover, during the COVID-19 pandemic, international travel, including Umrah pilgrimages, was restricted.

A total of two lucky customers will receive a free Umrah travel package. The Umrah prize may be transferred to another person but cannot be exchanged for cash. This program does not apply to ticket purchases made using fare reductions for KAI Group employees, family members, retirees, or infant discounts.

The prize draw will be held in early July 2023 in the presence of a Notary, the Social Affairs Office, and relevant government officials. The public is encouraged to follow KAI's official verified social media accounts, KAI121 and Kereta Api Kita, for updates. Taxes related to the prize will be fully covered by KAI.

KAI Access is KAI's official mobile application, with 10 million users as of January 2023. In addition to ticket booking, KAI Access also offers features such as ticket rescheduling and cancellation, first-mile and last-mile services, bookings and information for KAI Group services, and many other features.

"Through the Umrah with KAI Access program, KAI aims to strengthen user engagement with KAI Access—not only encouraging people to download the app, but also making it their preferred platform for purchasing train tickets," concluded Joni.
