1. Plan Your Journey

Plan your trip carefully, especially when it comes to booking train tickets. It is best to purchase your tickets early to reduce the chance of them selling out and to make your travel plans more organized.

For added convenience, book your tickets through the KAI Access application, which offers a wide range of features. You can choose from Economy, Business, Executive, Luxury, and Panoramic train classes, select your preferred seat, make payments, order meals, and book transportation to and from the station.

Before completing your booking, make sure all the information you enter is correct, including your personal details, departure date, destination, train name, and travel class.

2. Prepare Your Travel Requirements

Passengers traveling on both long-distance and local/agglomeration train services should pay attention to the latest travel requirements in accordance with the Ministry of Transportation Circular No. 84 of 2022 and the Ministry of Health Circular No. HK.02.02/II/3984/2022.

Passengers are also required to be in good health and wear a mask while at the station and throughout the train journey.

KAI provides adequate handwashing facilities, hand sanitizers, body temperature screening, free face masks, and vaccination services at selected stations and health clinics in cooperation with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and local Health Offices.

Luxury Class passengers can also relax in Luxury Waiting Lounges available at selected stations, where complimentary tea and coffee are served while waiting for departure.

4. Pay Attention to Your Luggage

Be mindful of the belongings you bring. KAI has regulations regarding the size and volume of luggage allowed on board.

Once on the train, place your luggage in the designated storage areas so it does not inconvenience other passengers and helps maintain everyone's comfort.

KAI also advises customers not to wear excessive jewelry or carry items that may attract unwanted attention and increase the risk of crime.

If you experience lost belongings, immediately contact the Lost and Found officers at the station, the conductor on board, or the KAI Contact Center 121.

5. Enjoy the Available Services

Make your journey more enjoyable by taking advantage of KAI's onboard and station entertainment.

For gaming enthusiasts, Game Zone booths are available at Gambir, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya Pasarturi Stations throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday period from December 22, 2022, to January 8, 2023. You can play games while waiting for your train.

During your trip, you can also enjoy free Wi-Fi available on selected train services.

KAI Access now also features Entertainment on Board (EoB), providing a variety of entertainment content accessible through a dedicated onboard Wi-Fi network during the journey. At present, the EoB service is available on Taksaka train services operating between Gambir and Yogyakarta (round trip).
