KAI Access Ramadan Festive 2022 Offers Discounted and Promotional Train Fares

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is introducing the KAI Access Ramadan Festive 2022 programme, offering the public more than 6,000 train tickets at special discounted prices.

The KAI Access Ramadan Festive 2022 promotion runs from 19 to 21 April 2022 for travel between 20 April and 13 May 2022. This promotion is exclusively available for ticket purchases made through the KAI Access application.

KAI is offering discounts of up to 60% on 4,000 train tickets to various destinations. Promotional fares include routes such as Semarang–Jakarta, reduced from Rp330,000 to Rp132,000; Surabaya–Jakarta, reduced from Rp540,000 to Rp216,000; Solo–Bandung, reduced from Rp360,000 to Rp144,000; as well as many other routes.

The following trains and routes are eligible for discounts of up to 60%:

1. Argo Sindoro (Semarang Tawang – Gambir)
2. Sembrani (Surabaya Pasarturi – Gambir)
3. Purwojaya (Cilacap – Gambir)
4. Sawunggalih (Kutoarjo – Pasar Senen)

6. Mutiara Timur (Ketapang – Yogyakarta)
7. Argo Cheribon (Cirebon – Gambir and Tegal – Gambir)

B. Travel Period: 4 May – 13 May 2022
1. Argo Sindoro (Gambir – Semarang Tawang)
2. Sembrani (Gambir – Surabaya Pasarturi)
3. Purwojaya (Gambir – Cilacap)
4. Gumarang (Pasar Senen – Surabaya Pasarturi)
5. Sawunggalih (Pasar Senen – Kutoarjo)
6. Lodaya (Bandung – Solo Balapan)
7. Kertanegara (Purwokerto – Malang)
8. Mutiara Timur (Yogyakarta – Ketapang)
9. Jayakarta (Pasar Senen – Surabaya Gubeng)
10. Kertajaya (Pasar Senen – Surabaya Pasarturi)
11. Argo Cheribon (Gambir – Tegal and Gambir – Cirebon)

In addition, KAI is also offering a Flash Sale with train tickets priced at only Rp75,000, with a total of 2,700 promotional tickets available. The Flash Sale is held daily from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (WIB) from 19 to 21 April 2022.

Trains included in the Flash Sale include the Argo Bromo Anggrek (Surabaya Pasarturi – Gambir), normally priced at around Rp590,000 but available for only Rp75,000, the Argo Lawu (Solo Balapan – Gambir), normally priced at around Rp420,000 but available for only Rp75,000, along with several other services.

KAI Vice President of Public Relations Joni Martinus said that the KAI Access Ramadan Festive programme is intended to encourage more people to travel by train during this year's Eid homecoming season.

"The advantages of travelling by train are that it is free from traffic congestion, safe, comfortable, and healthy. KAI consistently ensures that all train services comply with the health protocols established by the Government during the COVID-19 pandemic, while train operations also run according to an efficient and reliable schedule," said Joni.

The promotion is also intended to encourage customers to travel on alternative dates and routes during this year's Eid Transportation period, as train tickets are still generally available.
